College Park: the historic city at the airport's door
College Park is a historic south-Fulton city about eight miles from downtown Atlanta, and its biggest asset sits right next door: Hartsfield-Jackson, the world's busiest airport, part of which lies inside the city limits. A MARTA stop, a National Register historic district and a rebuilt Main Street make it a unique Southside address.

City High Schools
Benjamin Banneker and Tri-Cities high schools serve sections of the city within the Fulton County School System.
Schools
Fulton schools plus big-name options
The city's public schools are zoned through the Fulton County School System, with College Park Elementary and high schools including Benjamin Banneker and Tri-Cities serving sections of the city. On top of that, College Park is home to Woodward Academy, the largest independent PK through 12 school in the continental United States.
There is also The Main Street Academy, a tuition-free, STEAM-certified public charter school serving grades K through 8. Between Fulton's zoned schools and the charter and independent options, the city offers more school paths than most places its size.
Getting Around
The airport rail stop, and a Main Street to match
College Park station on the Red and Gold lines puts the airport about one minute away, downtown roughly 15, Midtown about 19 and Buckhead about 31. For anyone who flies weekly, works at the airport or commutes by rail, that is an unusual advantage for a metro address.
Off the platform, a revitalized Main Street holds restaurants, shops and nightlife, and the Gateway Center campus brings the Georgia International Convention Center, the Gateway Center Arena, home of the WNBA Atlanta Dream, and a historic golf course right to the city.
The Fit
Who College Park fits best
Airport & Aviation Workers
The shortest commute in the metro: one rail stop to the terminal, or a quick drive to airport and airline offices.
Rail Commuters
Downtown in about 15 minutes, Midtown in about 19 and Buckhead in about 31, all without touching I-85.
Historic-Home Buyers
800-plus properties in a National Register district mean real architecture at Southside prices.
The Honest Note
The airport is a convenience and a fact of life: plane noise is part of the context near the runways, and the busiest airport on earth means constant activity close by. Buyers who want the rail access and the historic homes should tour on both a quiet weekday and a crowded one before they commit.
